Evaluation? What's that then? Evaluations look at what is good about something and what needs to change to make it better.
What's the Commissioner going to do about it?

Keith Towler, the new Children’s Commissioner for Wales, has read the report, and made comments about what it says he should do.

Here are some of the things Keith had to say.

Why did the Commissioner want one?

The Children’s Commissioner for Wales works to make sure that children and young people are safe from harm, and lets people know about children’s rights. Peter Clarke the first Commissioner decided that he wanted someone to look at the work that his office did and how they did it to make sure that they were doing the best they could for Wales’ children and young people.

What did it say?

The evaluation was done over 3 years by Swansea University and the University of Central Lancashire by a group of adults and children and young people. They looked at the work the Commissioner’s team were doing and spoke to lots of people about how well they thought things were going.

Here are some of the things they thought could be better.
